Matias Hercovich

General Counsel Latin America

As Phoenix Tower International’s in-house general counsel, Mr. Hercovich leads the company’s Latin American real estate, contractual, regulatory, and corporate legal affairs. Mr. Hercovich also oversees the FCPA compliance program and coordinates all ongoing legal needs of PTI’s current and prospective portfolio with local external and internal counsel in various jurisdictions, including Panama, Costa Rica, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic. Prior to joining PTI, Mr. Hercovich worked as a foreign associate with Greenberg Traurig, LLP in Miami, Florida. In his native Chile, he worked as senior lawyer for Prieto y Compañía, amassing significant experience in corporate law, capital markets transactions, and M&A transactions. He developed a special focus on intellectual property in the new technologies industry space—particularly regarding trademarks and domain names— and founded and led these practice areas for the firm. Mr. Hercovich graduated summa cum laude with a law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He also holds a Master of Law degree in telecommunications and intellectual property from the Universidad de Chile. Prior to initiating his career in the United States, Mr. Hercovich obtained a Master of Laws degree from Columbia Law School in New York, where he received the James Kent Scholars award for outstanding academic achievement.

Domingos Almeida

Vice President, Sales and Development South America

Mr. Almeida oversees sales and development efforts in South America for Phoenix Tower International and affiliated company Phoenix Tower do Brasil (PTB). He is responsible for implementing sales strategies and practices throughout different markets in South America, aligning synergies between customers in the region and leveraging PTI’s capabilities to deliver outstanding results. He works closely with PTI’s other divisions to offer customers best-in-class service for their every collocation or development need. Mr. Almeida has been involved in the wireless telecommunication industry in Brazil since its privatization in 1997and has led initiatives to deploy towers across the country. Prior to joining PTI and PTB, Mr. Almeida served as chief operations officer at Cell Site Solution, a Brazilian-based, privately owned tower company. Before CSS, he was employed at American Tower Corporation for nearly twelve years, holding the title of implementation director of Brazil as well as several senior positions in site development. Mr. Almeida also worked within the EMEA division at American Tower Corporation, assisting their expansion through African markets as chief operation officer in Uganda. Mr. Almeida graduated from Universidade Católica de Pernambuco and holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering as well as a master’s degree in business administration from Insper.

Estefan Ramirez

Director of Corporate Development and Sales Latin America and the Caribbean

Mr. Ramirez is responsible for overseeing relationships, sourcing growth opportunities, and building long-term partnerships with PTI’s clients across Latin America and the Caribbean. He is also involved in sourcing, analyzing, and supporting new business opportunities, M&A transactions, and financings. In addition, he assists in the establishment of new markets consistent with PTI’s overall strategy and growth objectives. Mr. Ramirez is also PTI’s general manager for the Dominican Republic. In this capacity, he is responsible for day-to-day business operations as well as overall business strategy and corporate development. Before joining PTI, Mr. Ramirez was an advisor to the Blackstone Group’s Tactical Opportunities fund, sourcing and evaluating debt and equity transactions across multiple sectors and regions. He also worked in the Financial Sponsors and Leverage Finance group at UBS where he analyzed and structured buyouts, refinancings, and dividend recapitalization transactions across various industries on behalf of private equity firms and corporate clients. Prior to UBS, Mr. Ramirez worked as a director at True North Capital, where he evaluated, executed, and monitored venture capital and private equity investments across multiple industries. Mr. Ramirez began his career as a member of the acquisitions group at LaSalle Investment Management, where he underwrote and closed over $800 million of acquisitions and development projects for institutional clients and commingled funds. Mr. Ramirez received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley and a Master in Business Administration degree from the Johnson School at Cornell University.

Jennifer Durden

Director of Real Estate and Lease Administration

Ms. Durden directs all real estate management and marketing initiatives for Phoenix Tower International’s third party-managed properties and oversees the management of lease administration related to its customer leases. As director of real estate and lease administration, Ms. Durden develops and sustains relationships with commercial real estate asset owners to maximize revenue by effectively marketing their properties for the collocation of wireless infrastructure. She also manages the administration of PTI’s customer lease transactions while ensuring data accuracy and integrity of the organization’s portfolio of leases. Ms. Durden formerly held a director of real estate position at Global Tower Partners, where she was the key point of contact for executive level players with national real estate firms. She was accountable for marketing and managing real estate portfolios for 100+ property owners, consisting of 4,500+ rooftop, tower and DAS assets. Prior to her appointment at GTP, Ms. Durden managed all phases of corporate leasing, licensing, and service agreements for the owned and managed Hilton Hotels group nationwide portfolio, valued at $140M. She was responsible for maintaining existing relationships and developing new business opportunities with national and regional retailers to achieve net operating income objectives and maximize profitability. Ms. Durden has fifteen years of experience in commercial real estate and wireless telecommunications, which includes all aspects of contract negotiations, compliance and administration, the management of finance and accounting functions, new business development, and telecommunications infrastructure. Ms. Durden graduated from American Intercontinental University with a Bachelor of Business degree in management. She is a member of Women’s Wireless Leadership Forum as well as the following State Wireless Associations: California, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, New York, New England North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.

Michael Sullivan

Director of Land Acquisitions Latin America and the Caribbean

Mr. Sullivan oversees land and rooftop right acquisitions in Central America and the Caribbean, including negotiation, diligence, segregation, and closing. In these cases, Phoenix Tower International acquires the right to revenue formerly paid by major wireless operators to land or building owners. Mr. Sullivan also leads the development of PTI’s multi-national land acquisition program, including negotiation and sales efforts, interpretation of regional laws and regulations, process management, closings, and integration. Prior to his appointment at Phoenix Tower International, Mr. Sullivan specialized in new market penetration and sales. Throughout his career, he has sold a variety of specialty products and services across the United States and Latin America and worked closely with U.S. federal and state agencies (FDA, USDA, OSHA) to implement regulations and processes in the industrial food production and safety industry. Mr. Sullivan is a graduate of Fairfield University with a Bachelor of Science degree in sales and marketing as well as a minor in Spanish. He is currently based in Escazú, Costa Rica.

Raymond Crews, Jr.

Director of U.S. Sales and Leasing

As the director of U.S. sales and leasing, Mr. Crews oversees all of Phoenix Tower International’s domestic sales and development activity, including the negotiation of master lease agreements and build-to-suit agreements with wireless carriers. Mr. Crews is a 14 year veteran of the telecommunications industry. He most recently held a position with Global Tower Partners as the northeast region leasing manager. During his tenure at GTP, Mr. Crews excelled at nurturing carrier relationships and exceeded regional leasing objectives primarily through leasing tower and rooftop portfolios in Northeastern urban core markets. Prior to his role at GTP, Mr. Crews oversaw leasing for AT&T Towers in the Northeast market for nearly six years. He also worked at Sprint Sites USA as a sales manager for five years before to its sale to Global Signal. Mr. Crews graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and sales. He is a member of the following state wireless associations: New England, New Jersey, New York State, and Pennsylvania.
